#Exvangelical And Loving It

Dec 6, 2019 | Religious Trauma, Secular Sexuality

Chrissy is a prominent voice on the online Exvangelical community and the creator of some hashtags many of you may be familiar with, including #ExposeChristianSchools and #EmptythePews. She’s been mentioned in The Economist, The New York Times, and the Associated Press, and has published in Foreign Policy and Playboy, just to name a few. She lives in Portland, Oregon and works as a senior researcher at the Postsecular Conflicts project at the University of Innsbruck.

This year has been especially exciting for Chrissy: she came out as trans, moved to Portland Oregon, and just this week has released her book Empty the Pews: Stories of Leaving the Church. Take a look as we talk about her book, our bodies, Russian literature and succubus fan art, to name a few.

Find Chrissy at https://cstroop.com/ or @C_Stroop and buy her new book
